Warm welcome to the Canadian Association of Orthopaedic Medicine, and our new website. I am Dr. Jannice Bowler, current president. As a special promotion to celebrate the new site, we are extending our CAOM conference early-bird registration to September 13, 2019. Please take advantage of this if you haven’t already done so, and check out our conference page for more details.
Below you can see the “Canadian Contingent” attending the Guadalajara “Brigada” of the HHPF mission a few years’ back. There are lots of ways to get involved in the world of regenerative medicine, learning, teaching, gaining more experience and enjoying friendships. Here we have Drs. Adrian Gretton, David Bowler, Jannice Bowler, Lanice Jones goofing it up, and Lorraine Croft.
Members can see our training standards document for more information. inside our Members Only section, which requires a password (supplied to paid-up members during renewal or signing up), rather than a full log-in. And we will be publishing relevant studies and articles, as well as news features, to keep you up to date with what is happening, and a recommended books section for your interest.
I hope you enjoy the new website and please encourage your colleagues in the world of musculoskeletal pain medicine to visit it as well.

Dr. Francois Louw, a physician from the Department of Family Practice at the university of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, advances the body of knowledge in the treatment of temporomandibular dysfunction in his article appearing in the May 2019 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings, where he found that using a simple and inexpensive alternative treatment with an intraarticular injection of dextrose reduced pain and increased mobility in this hard-to-treat patient population.
